Hey ho :)
Finally there is the new blog post. 👏🏻
First of all: I noticed that I was a month behind. 😅 That's why here comes the full load from October and November. 😊
Shortly after visiting my aunt, where I was able to meet the lovely relative from New Zealand, my sister visited me for a few days in mid-October. ☺️ One of the days we went to Rothenburg and looked at the city. The city is really very beautiful, very colorful and has many half-timbered houses. It's a bit reminiscent of a medieval city with all the city gates there. :)
In the evening we went to the cinema. The film was about Philipp Mickenberger, who lost his battle with cancer. What is special about him is that he was able to share his story, his faith and the hope of life after death with many other people. The film was very touching because you could feel how much he took his strength from God.
My sister and I really had a very good time together. 🙃
A short time later it was that time again and I was there on October 25th. got a year older. Of course, another birthday post had to be made and so I used the homemade muffins as utensils. 😂 In the afternoon I met a friend in a café.
We have a neighbor's cat that comes over sometimes. She is really very sweet. 🥰 Speaking of animals: We'll probably have a second dog in the shared apartment soon. The young woman next to me is moving into the vacant apartment next door this month and then a new student is coming who also has a medium-sized dog. She's coming to visit tomorrow and then we'll see if the two dogs get along. As you can see, there is once again a change of people in what I call our “in-out shared apartment”. 😉
Well, in any case, a few days after my birthday my parents came to visit and then we celebrated a bit. 🎉☺️ I was also able to show my parents Rothenburg and they also got to know my community. :)
After the weekend my father went back home and my mother stayed behind. The Ladies Conference in Wernau was waiting for us, and we had registered for it the weekend after my birthday. 😃
Before the weekend, however, I was on an excursion from the university to the Bavarian Radio. We looked at the studio and were shown around. 😄 Very interesting to get a taste of something like that.
Next year in the winter we will also have a practical semester where we will do an internship in an editorial office for 6 months. I started sending out applications today. But it still remains a secret where I applied. You will definitely notice where I ended up. 😊
But now back to last weekend’s Ladies Conference. The themes covered were joy, love, patience, kindness and faith. I heard some really strong testimonies and stories that encouraged me to hold on to my faith and not let anything stop me. 🙂 Our hotel was close by in beautiful Esslingen. My aunt and her friend were also at the conference. So we knew someone there. :)
On Sunday we visited two churches. Once the Mosaik Church in Stuttgart and the Urban Life Church in the evening. ⛪️ Seeing an acquaintance from my old home again was good too. Anyone who knows me knows that I love visiting people and exchanging ideas.😊
What else is currently happening?
University is really getting going again. We are currently in the process of finding topics for our productions again. 😉 In journalism you are always dependent on other people. It's not always so easy to get the people you could well imagine. 😅 The student position in particular makes it a little more difficult. However, we already have some contacts and I am once again looking forward to implementing our ideas. 😃
I'll be away from work next weekend. The managing director is retiring and we say goodbye to him at a cozy evening with all employees from all branches.
So now I should be back in rhythm with the blog posts. :)
I gratefully accept any questions or suggestions. 😄😂
If I think of anything else, I'll add it below. 😊
See you soon dear ones. 🫶🏻
