Our last stop is Roses. A small campsite in a bay and 30km away from the border with France. The weather is good to us again and we enjoy temperatures of almost 20 degrees. After a long time, or since Santa Pola, we meet winter visitors again. We spend almost 2 days in Polly. It's sometimes so stormy that the whole caravan shakes and you wake up at night. At some point, we lose some of our things to the storm and quickly find most of them near our pitch. When the storm subsides, we take a trip to Cadaques. For us, it's the most beautiful place we've visited in Spain. We fully understand why Salvador Dali spent his twilight years here. Unfortunately, the garden of Dali's estate was also closed. But the bay where his estate stands alone is worth a visit. In general, Cadaques is a beautiful, very quiet and peaceful town. No huge hotels and much of it is untouched by man. You can sit by the water for hours and just watch the sea.
After 4 nights, we are also a little sad to leave Spain after almost 3 months. Spain is a great, very diverse and relaxed country. We felt very comfortable here. Many things seem more normal here than in Germany. At no time did we feel stared at or treated differently. Even though there were sometimes language difficulties, everyone was always friendly and eager to help. Unfortunately, we didn't see enough of northern Spain and couldn't visit Galicia due to Nicole's cousin's visit. But that gives us a reason to visit Spain again someday and discover new places.
