So I didn't go down for breakfast until around 8 a.m. because I slept a little longer. Breakfast was good, but I find it negative that cake and melon are not refilled 1.5 hours before the end of breakfast. Oh well. I still got some, but not the following ones. I ordered 2 fried eggs, which were also delicious. Then I went back to the room and rested. Then I relaxed and went down to the sea. I was there an hour before my surfing lesson, but that way I was able to enjoy the sun and have a look. I booked it online and that wouldn't have been necessary. There are so many providers on site at the same price or even cheaper. At 12 I went to my provider and they seemed friendly, but not that organized. I had booked a private one-on-one lesson, which wasn't quite understood. I had the instruction with another teacher and also with two others. I haven't surfed yet and generally have a problem with balance. That's why I knew it would be difficult, but I always wanted to try it. The problem was that you could put your things in a box, but it wasn't locked and I wasn't sure whether it would really be looked after. Anyway, I put on my swimming suit and after the instruction I went into the water with my surfing instructor. He was really nice and also calm and explained everything, but you have to think about so much about how to position your feet. The first surf instructor called it like choreography like dancing. And you have to think about so many things. Nevertheless, it worked right away the first two times and I stood on the board for a few seconds. After that I thought about it too much again and didn't get it right or I went straight into the water. But later it worked again. And it's really fun, even if it can of course be frustrating. But I really want to go on a surfing holiday in a camp, preferably in Portugal, where you surf all week. I was still thinking about maybe booking another surfing lesson, but I was already a little exhausted. After the surfing lesson I sunbathed a bit. Oh well: I bruised my knees a little while going out or surfing. And right next to it there was a stone beach where I wanted to cool off, but that wasn't a good idea. As I was coming in, a wave came and threw all the stones at my feet. That hurt already and even afterwards. Then I'm out again. And the stones were so hot that you almost got burned. I sunbathed a bit and then went back to the hotel. I took a few breaks along the way and really realized that I was leaving tomorrow.
On the way there I met a couple again who I had met in Lima on a city tour. We want to eat and drink something this evening. Funnily enough, they're also flying at 12 tomorrow like me.
I then tried out a place that had a bread bowl. I ordered the pizza bowl, a loaf of bread with the top cut off and then filled. I thought it was a cool idea. I had already eaten something like that in Prague, but there was soup in the bread. The bread bowl tasted really good, just a bit small considering it costs 33 soles (around €8), but hey, it's my last day here.
Now I'm going to go to the hotel, take a shower and then ask where we're meeting this evening.
I will get in touch later on...
