We will survive - oh no: arrive!

Finally here! Thank God the luggage too. But what we haven't thought of so far... we need the address to our apartment. We can only get that if we send the landlady a selfie with our passport -> photo session at baggage claim. 1 hour later we could finally get on our way. Backpacks on and off we go. 20 degrees made the march halfway bearable. After asking our way from the train station to our station without a plan (How did people get from A to B without the internet in the past?!), we reached the destination. Well.. almost.. once around the block. Questions upon questions.. and then we were there :D Here we could really enjoy ourselves. 7 pm it was time to go to bed. We were wide awake at 2 am. So much for 'We don't have jet lag'. Thank God we could fall asleep again - until 10 am. Oops. At 11 am we had the first car viewing. For the second one we drove into the city. Both showed us a Nissan Pathfinder with a built-in bed and all camping equipment. After that we continued through the city. Actually, we wanted to take care of things like a bank account, phone number, etc., but luckily it was a national holiday^^ at least we found a completely vegan burger restaurant - Basti was in 7th heaven. We sat at the harbor just in time for sunset. Then we went back to the apartment. Feet up, off to bed.

Today we were back in the city and were able to take care of all the important things that were still missing for our happiness. Sightseeing was also on the agenda. The absolute highlight (apart from the huuuuuuge State Library) was the Eureka Tower. 297m above the ground you have a perfect view over Melbourne! Now it's time to pack our backpacks and get ready for the upcoming adventure. Tomorrow we'll be staying in a hostel until we find a car. We're excited to see what awaits us...
