Camping&Hot Pools (N) - Andenes (N)

Distance 32km

Travel time 50 minutes

Fitness challenge push-ups 300

Weather, partly cloudy&sunny 13C

This morning, the weather was checked through the window upon waking up. And immediately, long faces. The fog was still there! But no matter, we didn't give up easily. First, we had a hearty breakfast. And actually, after we all finished our meals, the weather improved significantly. When we arrived in Andenes at 2:00 PM, the fog had disappeared completely and by 4:00 PM, when the ship left with us on board, we even had brilliant sunshine. So, perfect weather, who would have thought that in the morning.

Now we only hoped that we would be lucky and the whales would also feel like sunbathing. And sure enough, after about 40 minutes of driving, we saw the first humpback whale's back. That was exciting, only now did we realize the enormous dimensions. Suddenly it dove down into the infinite depth and the last thing we saw was its huge tail fin.

Very impressive. The children were also very excited.

And I did my best in terms of photography...you don't get the chance every day

Three whales and some photos later, we headed back. What an experience. We will cherish it for a long time.

After returning to the campsite, we had a proper meal first. Couscous with vegetables and sausages for the children.

If it wasn't soooo cold here in the north, we could enjoy the perfect weather and the fantastic view of the sea and have dinner outside. But 12C outside temperature is still too cold.
