Ayutthaya

We took a taxi from Kanchanaburi to the former capital city of Ayutthaya. We really liked the city. We stayed in a hostel right in the city center. The city center is very green with two large parks and many trees. The parks are filled with temple ruins. Many temple complexes were burned during the war with Burma and are therefore not in their original state, but still very impressive and definitely worth a visit. The outer part of the city was heavily affected by the flooding and was not properly accessible. Here are some impressions from our time in Ayutthaya.
