I started packing my stuff before sunrise because today will be a long day of hiking. According to the guidebook, it is the most difficult stage with a 1,313m ascent and a 1,022m descent. In between are 'difficult sections'. The sunrise was a magnificent spectacle. I had never experienced anything like it before. The guidebook did not disappoint. I had to manage my energy well and it was one of the most beautiful stages so far. Lots of forest, steep cliffs, and a wonderful panorama the whole time. It was super demanding, and for a big part of the route, I had to rely on GPS as there were no paths or markers. In the mountains, being just 20m off can mean a completely different terrain. But everything worked out fine. Tomorrow, Psiloritis is on the agenda. Hopefully the weather will hold up. A very nice couple from the UK recommended a camping spot to me. They even said there is a spring there. So I filtered plenty of water for the next day and quickly fell asleep, despite the strong wind blowing around the corner.
