Today we took the day easy. After breakfast, we started cleaning up the kitchen and finally decided to run the dishwasher 🫧
After that, we worked on house chores and our travel diary ✏️
After a quick shopping trip and a small lunch, we headed to the city center. We visited Castillo, which looks impressive but doesn't offer much (except for a daily changing evening event, which is part of the Milan summer festival) 🏰
Then we went on a shopping spree. It was nice and cool in the shops🧊. We got new shoes, a small handbag, postcards, and souvenirs 🛍. We were surprised to find a large store selling sweets from all over the world, where Kinder Chocolate, Hanuta, and other German stuff were being sold at exorbitant prices 💸. But we did expand our collection of Monster cans ⚡️
For dinner on our last day in Milan, we finally had Italian food, with bruschetta 🍅, carbonara 🥓🥚, semifreddo 🍫🍦, and limoncello 🍋, served in Jägermeister shot glasses, of course.
Once the temperature became more pleasant, we took a short stroll through the park near Castillo and then headed home. We have already prepared a lot for tomorrow's departure and are watching a series 📺
Before we leave Milan, we have to share with you the funny names of the subway stations. We always took the train towards Cologno Nord (Cologne Nord?). Other funny names were: Moscova (Moscow?), Lima?, Gerusalemme (Jerusalem?), Uruguay? So we basically made a half world tour 🗺 Our stop, Lambrate (Lamb roast), definitely has a great name 🐑🍖?🤦🏼♀️
