Hello, Grüezi and challooooo
As announced, we didn't contact you all week because lazy and beach.
We just enjoyed our life at the beach🔥☀️🌊.
We quickly got used to our roommates from the animal kingdom. But because Lara is terrified of snakes, Jasna had to do a safety check under our beds every time... just in case that.....
Well- unfortunately, the most beautiful vacation for us so far has come to an end and we had to say goodbye 😕😕
We left on Friday at 7:45, wanted to have a relaxed breakfast.. until our speedboat arrives at 9.
Yes, we would say that the plan was screwed- the usually extreme unpunctuality became an exaggerated punctuality- the boat was already there at 08:40🙄
We almost missed it because we thought it couldn't be that early 😂😂🤦🏽♀️ Thank God a woman rushed in and told us to hurry up🤷🏽♀️😂
Otherwise, we would probably still be sitting on the island today 😂😂😂😂😂
Well, as disorganized as we are in the morning, the mood wasn't really great after half a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for more🤬
Since the whole thing took its course and the whole day got worse and worse, the next aggressions continued on the boat.
Actually, people here really keep a distance from everyone and try not to touch anyone.
Unfortunately, not the elderly lady sitting next to Lara. First, she almost sat on her lap, even though the whole bench was free. After slipping away several times, she managed to sit back on Lara's lap. And as if that wasn't enough, she pressed her disgusting, calloused, bare feet (Lara's absolute favorite body part) against her leg. Disgust went through the roof.
After 45 cozy minutes with strangers' feet on our legs, we finally arrived on the mainland and treated ourselves to an iced coffee- of course, after a short full-body disinfection. We took a tuk-tuk to our bus station. Our bus was leaving at 12 o'clock.
The only good thing about the day - the staff. Oh hell yeah- they were so excessively funny. We even took a few photos with them and Lara was live on some video chats.
Well, the journey was supposed to take 5 hours.
Quite okay- if you leave out the fact that it's only 170 kilometers to Phnom Penh.
After three hours of driving, we almost peed our pants- and the driving style was not really gentle. It was supposed to be only two hours left.
But no- it took fucking 8!!!!!!!! hours-
FOR A MERE 170 KILOMETERS!!!!!
In addition, the bus driver simply couldn't manage to start normally.
After two hours, we almost had a brain concussion 🧠......
The only thing that was quite amusing: somehow the Chin.... (data protection 😂😂) are not liked anywhere. They just come to a country, only speak their language, build a few houses, and demand that everyone understands them🤦🏽♀️
Our opinion has unfortunately not changed 🙄🙄
Well, when we arrived there, the next tuk-tuk driver was already there and safely took us to the hotel.
Our mood was at an absolute low point after 11 hours of traveling.
We just went to eat and went to sleep 😴 it was probably good for the rest of the people here in Phnom Penh 🤭
Well, a new day, new luck.
Our hotel is one minute away from the promenade.. so not that bad- compared to how we felt yesterday 😂👍🏽
We had breakfast on the 7th floor by a window- it could be worse 😛
Afterwards, we went to the promenade, the Wat Phnom temple, and the Central Market.
We spent the rest of the day eating and drinking coffee 😂😂😂
The city is loud again, full of scooters and tuk-tuks. But beautiful 👍🏽
