So after Mendoza I definitely need a vacation from my sabbatical year... or maybe rather a therapy to quit... 😆
Why? Because Mendoza is THE wine region in Argentina. Mendoza itself is nice, but not really exciting. Therefore, I went on a wine tour by bike with a super crazy group from my hostel in the beautiful sunny weather. In total, we stopped at 3 different wineries and tasted the really delicious wine varieties of the region (Mendoza is particularly known for Malbec). When we returned the bikes, we got free wine in the happy hour and because we hadn't drunk enough yet, we had a barbecue with... of course, wine at the hostel.
And because it was so much fun, we continued the next day despite a slight hangover. On a traditional winery, we had a multi-course menu, lots of wine, whiskey, and cigars as a finale. In the afternoon, we emptied several bottles of red wine from the supermarket. Slightly tipsy, I took the night bus back to Chile.
It was 2 amazing days in Mendoza with wonderful people and definitely too much wine.
