Today was a very beautiful day on Ko Tao and unfortunately it was also our last day here, because tomorrow we will continue to the neighboring island of Ko Phangan. The day started very early, precisely at 5:45 am we met with the people from the diving school to head to the diving spots Champon and White Rock with them. It was also Anne's first dive after passing her diving certification. We took a boat about 30 minutes to the west to the first diving area. There we could see a lot of fish shoals and also larger fish hunting them. The reef was covered with what felt like thousands of anemones but also other types of corals. At the second diving spot 'White Rock' we could see even more fish, including barracudas, rays, and a pufferfish. However, the highlight was a turtle that happened to swim by. It was real luck to see all this in one dive, because the underwater visibility is not always as great as today. After a total of two dives, we headed back to the beach.
The advantage of starting so early was that we were also back earlier and therefore still had a big part of the day left. We spent most of it snorkeling at the beach and swimming in the pool. In the evening, we went to the restaurant that we liked the most and had very delicious chicken skewers with potatoes and salad.
It was really a perfect day to end it all, but in general, the days here on Ko Tao were just very beautiful and enjoyable.
