5th day of the 10th week/12th day Via Podiensis
After the beautiful farewell evening and the many days spent together, I initially set the convent or the monastery of Vaylats as my retreat destination. But the days with Arni also gave me so much strength for the further journey.
In the morning, we leave the Lot Valley in Cajarc. It's hard to believe that 10,000 pilgrims stay overnight in this sleepy town every year.
Tomorrow at the Lot
There are truffle forests, dolmens, and stone walls as sights.
On the Camino, you often come across places where you can freshen up and coffee and drinks are offered for a donation.
Walking sticks are handmade along the way.
After 35 km, I arrive at the monastery at around 4 pm, am warmly welcomed, and can look around.
Dinner is served at 7 pm sharp, I am picked up specifically because I did not sit at the table punctually 🙄.
