After a rainy night, a hearty breakfast during which the sun came out just in time,
We first headed south past miles of streets with a few very neat buildings, but with verges that had been completely mowed by lawnmowers, towards Rheda-Wiedenbrück, across the beautiful grounds of the former State Garden Show. From there we continued towards Langenberg, where we visited Angelika and Martin Kaschel and - just like at Rennemeier's - were provided with the best and most comprehensive care - a round belly is also more streamlined. After a short siesta and coffee and cake, we had difficulty reaching our hands to the steering wheel and, some time after Charlemagne, Pope Leo III and Henry and Kunigunde, set off for Paderborn, where we did not attend the Reichstag, but were given a very friendly welcome by the Community of the Beatitudes and attended vespers with beautiful singing and Holy Mass.
In the evening we walked briefly into the city center and looked for the famous 3 rabbits window at the cathedral (please do some research).
And after a glass of red wine and a ridiculously cheap scoop of ice cream (2.10 euros), we settle down to rest.
