Still a little tired from the late arrival and an uncomfortable night, we started the day a little later. The two-story log cabin with a small garden and terrace looked really good online, but unfortunately the cleanliness left something to be desired. We chose Florianopolis or Ilha Santa Catarina to switch off a bit after the many days of traveling and to visit the many beautiful beaches. The island, which is around 60 km long and 18 km wide, lies on the coast in the southeast of Brazil and has a lot to offer away from the beaches (jungles, surfing, restaurants, etc.).

The weather was good and the weather app showed a pleasant 28 degrees at 11am. After a quick stop at the supermarket we went straight to the sea, where we wanted to spend our first beach day of the trip so far. Deck chairs and umbrellas were available for a fair €10 per day and the adjacent bars also provided a supply of cold drinks. From Campeche Beach we had a great view of the sea and the "Isla do Campeche" and the water temperature was quite pleasant despite the wind.

As the sun slowly set and the wind grew stronger, we went back to the supermarket, which had a much larger selection than the markets in Argentina. In the evening, after dinner, there was a Rummikub duel, which Chris clearly won.
