The flight to Iguazu didn't leave until 1 p.m., so we had enough time to sleep in, have a relaxed breakfast and take a leisurely taxi ride to the airport. There we went to drop off our luggage and go through the obligatory security check, but all went smoothly. After a good two hours of flying we landed in Puerto Iguazu, a small town on the border with Brazil and Paraguay. The climate was completely different. When a huge spider crawled across the road, the taxi driver told us that we were supposedly in the "biggest zoo" - got it.
Since the hotel was a bit out of town and the mood to travel was a bit low, we only took a short walk to the nearby supermarket to get water for the next few days.
