Today, unfortunately, there is nothing exciting to tell, we drove nearly 800 kilometers from Airlie Beach to Bundaberg and are now only 200 kilometers away from our next big destination Rainbow Beach.
The driving itself is going really well and since we often take turns, the long distances don't bother us either. What's a bit disturbing is that there are so many dead kangaroos on the road 😥.
We have now arrived at our camping site in Thabeban, and it feels like we have landed a bit in the Outback 🤷🏻♀️. Here, for the first time, there are a lot more animals than just loud birds. We have already had frogs in front of our camper and there are grasshoppers and lizards everywhere. As a precaution, we are staying inside the camper now, who knows what else awaits us in the dark 🙆🏻♀️ #safetyfirst
In general, the camping site is really nice, with many palm trees, spacious and very cozy.
Actually, there are also many people living here as permanent campers in their camping houses ?! or whatever the technical term for it is.
We have already spotted such a beautiful property that is for sale. In case we are not on the return flight from Brisbane to Frankfurt, you know where to find us 🌅.
Tomorrow, we will continue at 6:00 a.m., driving the last 200 kilometers to Rainbow Beach, so that we can have a nice day at the beach tomorrow ✅.
