Today we start the day at the Te Papa Museum in Wellington. There is an exhibition with huge wax figures and interactive design showcasing New Zealand's participation in World War I. There are also exhibitions on underwater creatures and the nature and wildlife of New Zealand. We spend the morning at the museum and then continue walking to Lambton Quay. There, we also visit a war memorial and Beehive, an office building for government employees. We pass by the Parliament with the sculpture of Richard John Seddon. The latter was Prime Minister of New Zealand until 1906. Next to it, we see the library and St Paul's Cathedral. After that, we walk to the Railway Station and make our way to the Whānau Film Night, where we plan to meet a traveler from Berlin whom we met in Napier. Unfortunately, the open-air film festival is canceled due to a storm, so we go to Cuba Street for food and drinks.
