My journey to Japan began on 02.09.18, when I flew from Frankfurt am Main to Dubai and then on to Kansai Airport in Osaka. In total, I flew for 19 hours with a layover.
The layover in Dubai was at 23:00 and I wanted to treat myself to a coffee since I was pretty tired.
However, they charged 6 euros for a coffee, which I already found to be overpriced. Overall, the Dubai Airport is very upscale.
Nevertheless, I was glad when I was allowed to continue to Japan, arrived in Japan, one had to go through the security check first. Then I had to fill out a card in which I had to confirm that I am not a criminal :-D or have done any other things. I was also immediately confronted with Japanese in my tired state, asking if everything was okay. At the Immigration Office, I finally received my long-awaited Residence Card :-))
Since everything took quite a long time, I quickly ran to pick up my luggage. Fortunately, the Japanese service staff took my luggage off the conveyor belt and put it aside. I was very grateful to them.
Then I went in search of a bus, luckily it was not difficult to find the right bus to Kyoto. Unfortunately, you can only pay with a credit card at the ticket counter, they do not accept cash. My bus, number 8, was already there and I immediately got on. The bus driver gave me a number for my luggage, and since the bus was already full, I had to fold out a small seat in the middle of the bus, which reminded me of a child seat.
I think the journey to Kyoto took one and a half hours. In Kyoto, I took a taxi to my accommodation.
