Today we wake up and finally the sun is shining in the south of the island, so after 2 days of waiting for rain, we can finally visit our favorite snorkel spot, Honaunau Bay. And we really make the most of it - a total of 3 snorkeling sessions are on the program, and during breaks, we are entertained by a little turtle in its private pool! (See photos)
And the afternoon is no less eventful. After a visit to the swimming pool in Kona, where there are swarms of triathletes, the self-appointed Ironman participant actually meets a real participant, who exchanges a few words with us. Although he is not from Germany, he is from New Zealand, Hulagirl's second home. Of course, a snapshot was a must, and we will definitely keep our fingers crossed for him!
Afterwards, we drive a little further north through the lava fields, visit a few beaches, and enjoy a great sunset from our terrace at home!
