Today we have to do some distance. I cross Turkey almost once from north to south. The landscape is still wildly dramatic, almost always above 2000 m. A huge dam project (Coruth) with countless road tunnels accompanies me. First stop in Erzurum, a conservative Muslim city. I stroll through the bazaar and buy fresh bread. It's not possible to get a SIM card because it's Sunday. Luckily they have Ad Blue here, but we don't know what that stuff is. In any case, the van complains a little later and wants new Ad Blue. I get back on track and reach Siverek in the evening. The threat of rain makes me take a hotel room for €23. I go to a simple, typical Turkish restaurant and get full for very little money. Unfortunately there is no alcohol anywhere in the town, but the hotel has WiFi. 10258 km
