After yesterday evening, we started the day a bit later than usual.
First, we went to Mycenae to visit the ruins of Agamemnon's palace, which dates back several millennia.
From there, we drove to Epidaurus, where the healing god Asklepios was worshipped in ancient Greece. As a medical professional, I was excited to see the few historical medical instruments, but the described healing practices of that time also made me smile.
The most impressive part was the ancient theater, which is 2300 years old and very well preserved. It still hosts events today. A musical performance by a young boy gave us a glimpse of the fantastic acoustics this place offers.
