A long day... with a few surprises

Wɔatintim: 25.02.2018

February 10th

Finally the day had come or wait, too much enthusiasm... Ahem

The long bus journey lay ahead of us.

But before that, we had to pass the time, because our bus didn't leave until 0:15 the next day.

Who would have thought what was still waiting for us?

First, we got off at the Plaza, near the cathedral like the previous days, and found... something unique and amazing.

On a small stage made of stone, people were dancing while a band played in the background.

It seemed like a traditional dance. The mood was cheerful and joyful.

It rubbed off on me automatically 😉

These moments had something very special about them, and deep down I wished (and still do) that there would be something like this in Germany someday.

But who knows 🤷‍♂️

But the day wasn't over yet...

After conquering our hunger with gigantic sandwiches, we went to a show nearby.
During dinner, I noticed some music and colorful lights in the distance a few times.

It turned out it wasn't just any show, but a carnival event.

Colorful lights, costumes, and really great music!

Carnival in South America is something you have to experience. Unfortunately, I couldn't indulge in my thoughts for too long, because time had passed faster than I thought. (much to my regret)

But we didn't just waste the remaining time at the bus station.

We made good use of the time and taught Conny how to play Skat.

Within a very short time, she understood the basic rules. It took three times less than it did for me 😲

Not bad, Conny!

And so the time passed faster than expected, and our 19-hour bus journey began...
