We are heading back inland to Welwitschia Drive. The road is named after an Austrian who discovered the particularly resilient Welwitschia Mirabilis plant. It can survive for a long time without or with very little water, and it exists only in this area, which extends to Angola. We saw the oldest plant of this kind - it is over 1500 years old! On the way there, we pass the 'Moon Landscape of Namibia' - an impressive landscape in various shades of brown. We also spot a few ostriches in the wild - so cool!
After the excursion, we are a bit exhausted from all the impressions of the last few days. That's why we are going to relax for a few days at a beautiful campsite (with our own bathroom - luxury!!). The horses visit us again and try to steal something, these cheeky ones. We cook, read, watch the sunset, and just live day by day. It's wonderful.
