We started the day at 8 o'clock, took a shower before departure (this time the water was warm). Our morning walk took us to the "Inselbäcker" and with fresh bread we started our journey again, this time towards the Mecklenburg Lake District. We spent our lunch break in a nice restaurant at Müritz National Park and enjoyed fried potatoes with side dish. After a short drive, we reached the campsite "Zum Bolten Ufer" and here we experienced the German mentality to the fullest. I think it's only in Germany that you take a 3-hour lunch break at the campsite reception in the best weather, during the summer holidays. So we waited at the beach and dipped our feet in the water. At 3 o'clock we were allowed to choose a spot on the quite crowded campsite and found ourselves in good neighborhood with families from Jena and Saxony. We packed our swimming trunks and went to the beach. The Müritz was very shallow overall, so even after walking in the water for what felt like 2 km, Finn only got to his belly button. Well, it was enough to cool off. Unfortunately, the lake was a bit cranky in this heat too, but we only wanted to spend a day here. After a few hours, we went back to the camper and took a shower. After dinner, we went for a round on the playground and the day was coming to an end. The "party" of our Saxon neighbors, which was announced in advance, was bearable as well, and eventually we managed to get the temperature inside the motorhome to a bearable level with the windows open.
