The journey was a bit stressful. Per ended his morning nap much earlier than planned and made it clear that he didn't feel like going on a motorhome ride at that moment. Unfortunately, he had to endure it and so did our ears, phew. But luckily, we managed to get there relatively quickly and found a great spot on a pretty empty campsite. The whole campsite is covered by a pine canopy, and a nice breeze from the Atlantic occasionally blows through here.
Here, we spent our mornings either taking walks or having a second little nap. On the first day, we wanted to go for a bike ride in the afternoon, but we missed the turn and ended up going a bit further. But we found our way back and ended up at a huge beautiful beach, which we had to share with two other people. Fortunately, there was a small beach hut where we could sit in the shade and have our afternoon snack. Since we didn't have swimsuits with us, we only dipped our feet in the water, which was already a great way to cool off. Yesterday and today, we went to the beach in the afternoon, just a 5-minute walk from the motorhome. We spent our time there swimming, sleeping, and lazing around.
Our little watermelon monster is usually pretty tired by the end of the day and is almost becoming a late sleeper here, waking up at 8:30 am on Saturday. And usually not before 7 am. We're really enjoying that.
We always had cozy evenings here. Jelto would have a bottle of red wine and stumble into bed slightly tipsy. And I would have an Orangina.
Tomorrow will be another day at the beach, and on Tuesday, we might continue our journey.
