At 11 I wake up with Brand. After a few revitalizing oatmeal, I'm back on track and share a taxi to the Magallanes Nature Reserve, located on a hill 10km above the city, with the Swiss machining technician named Flo.

There we hike 10 km through the Magellanic Forest, which is not as impressive as the Valdivian Rainforest and the Patagonian High Forest. But there are a few nice views over the Punta Arenas area.

Back at the hostel, we make burgers with overpriced frozen chickpea patties.

In the evening, two British couples persuade me to play cards with them, so I am once again prevented from writing down my travel experiences. They are dressed like in the seventies, speak textbook English (from Bristol or somewhere nearby), and listen to indie music all the time. They also claim that I have an Irish accent, which I doubt.
