After stuffing myself with sweet pastries at the breakfast buffet, I head to the bus station to buy a ticket for the night bus to La Paz. This time, I'm told that there is a luxury option with a lie-flat feature for an additional 5 euros. Sold. Afterwards, I get my bald head freshened up at the hairdresser's. The hairdresser seems a bit surprised at first; there are hardly any bald people here. The Bolivians must have good genes in that regard.

Afterwards, I go back up to La Recolecta Hill. Today is Good Friday, my lucky day, because meatless dishes are offered everywhere. At Restaurant Potocchi, they have Aji con Arvejas, a typical Good Friday dish consisting of peas in a red garlic sauce, optionally with anchovies, and a pumpkin-corn puree on the side. Tastes excellent.

It is also offered at numerous stands at the square on top of La Recolecta Hill. For comparison, I eat it directly again. It is not as finely seasoned, but it is also dirt cheap (around 1.25€).

After a coffee overlooking the city, I walk down towards the bus station. There is a large Easter procession winding through the streets; it feels like every school and every club is participating. Various Jesus sculptures are carried around to military-style marching music.
