After two days off, I'm back from Leonidio, a small town on the west coast of the Peloponnese. Nestled between mighty mountains and the sea, about 4000 people live here.
On Labor Day, I naturally took the day off...
In recent years, the small town has become a real climbing paradise. Especially in winter, many people are drawn to this special place. With a huge selection of climbing routes, probably every climber will get their money's worth here.
There are also good opportunities to camp here and you will most likely meet people with similar interests. We have already met very nice people here on the first day, with whom we started our first climbing day today, despite the light rain. However, the approach turned out to be longer than the actual climbing session because the rain became too heavy shortly after our arrival. In the morning, we visited the local market where you can buy fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price.
Yesterday, most of the day was also a washout. Accordingly, there is not much to report.
