30.03. Through the south on the Southern Scenic Route

We have time. So we decided not to take the direct route to Te Anau, our next stop. The Southern Scenic Route was highly recommended to us, so we drove the complete route from Dunedin to Te Anau (including detours, about 500 km). The route goes through the 'Catlins', which strongly resemble the foothills, only with different trees. Two detours took us to the 'Nuggets', a cape with a lighthouse, and the 'Purakaunui Falls' in a wonderful fern forest. The roads wind with constant ups and downs. So it took us 8 hours and we are now exhausted...
