The day begins with a sumptuous breakfast at my B&B Molly's Run. Highly recommended, a B&B with all-around catering and something similar to a family connection. The nightly excursion with a flashlight and the search for kangaroos, wallabies, and possums will remain unforgettable - thank you Paul!
I will be picked up at 9:15 - unfortunately, today we still have to pick up 2 new arrivals from the airport, who will then go on a tour with us. But I will be compensated shortly before the airport. A koala mom with her offspring sits up in a tree, quite sleepy but adorably cute...
After we have 'collected' our travel companions, we head west to the southwestern corner of the island. On the way, we spot a rare companion by the roadside, a echidna, and more koalas... The echidna, however, is not very enthusiastic about our curious looks and "hides" itself into a prickly ball... Other beautiful companions introduce themselves as 'models' in front of my camera - even if they don't introduce themselves by name ;-) But the blue plumage is simply stunning...
Again on the 3rd day, the place for our lunch is very idyllic - we get a BBQ in the middle of the wilderness with excellent salads and steak...
After that, we go to the viewpoint in Flinders Chase, the lighthouse stands out beautifully against the blue sky...
Then we continue to Admirals Arch - for me the absolute highlight of the day - the colors, the cliffs, the views, and the bizarre formations are unique.
On the way back to the airport, I encounter a hopping kangaroo and very peculiar traffic signs...
It's a pity that the Kangaroo Island adventure is already over - it's a very special place on earth - I will come back... Take care, see you soon :-)
