Day 13: Tuesday 14.08.2018 Wild Atlantic Way Waterville-Annascaul

Wɔatintim: 14.08.2018

This morning we got up around 8:00 am and admired the sea. Around 9:00 am, we continued on the Wild Atlantic Way. In the next village, we bought some baked goods from the bakery. However, they only had sweet things to eat. We left the Ring of Kerry behind and started on the Ring of Dingle. There, we stayed at Inch Beach, which is incredibly long and also popular for surfing. After that, we checked into our B&B in Annascaul. It's very clean and the host is very friendly. Since we had a hot shower available, we went back to Inch Beach to go swimming. With a chilly water temperature of 16°C and drizzling rain, it wasn't just cold but very cold. After a while, though, it became quite pleasant and fun. Additionally, the waves were sometimes up to two meters high. The flags indicated - perfect weather for swimming. However, the shower afterwards also felt very good.

In the evening, we went to Dingle to have dinner. In the supermarket, we also got a 'small' soft serve ice cream for €2 as dessert. Now back at the B&B, we are falling into the cozy bed with our own toilet and listening to the wind.

Mileage: 2,700km

Insight of the day: You can't stop saying hello anymore.
