12/02/2019 - Kuala Lumpur / Malaysia

Wɔatintim: 15.04.2019

The visit to the capital of Malaysia is on our program today. First, we went to the limestone caves located a little north of the city - the Batu Caves. Hold on tight and put them in your backpack. On the 272 steps up, we will be accompanied by small cheeky monkeys who like to steal. Once we reached the top, we watched even more playful, thieving monkeys and visited various Hindu temples. Going back down the many steps, we drove to Kuala Lumpur. Translated, the city means muddy river mouth. It was founded by tin miners who were searching for the metal here. We visited the King's Palace, of course only from the outside, the Independence Square with one of the tallest flagpoles in the world, passed by the mosque and the old train station. Of course, we made a shopping stop at the Central Market. There are sooo many useful and unnecessary things to find there. Take another look at the city's landmark - the Petronas Twin Towers and then it was time to go back to the ship. Unfortunately, no time left to enjoy the view from above. Maybe next time.
