We stayed here for 3 nights in an older man's house. We had our own room, our own bathroom, and could use the kitchen whenever we wanted, because he does not cook. He was not home much, so we had the place almost to ourselves. The last few days were cold and white stuff fell from the sky. Suddenly, we had 21 degrees Celsius and sunshine again. Perfect weather for exploring the city. Unusually, we started in a bookstore. Tattered Cover is one of America's largest independent and well-stocked bookstores. Both of us love books, so we sat down with a coffee among many great copies. We passed by the Union Station to the Money Museum of the Federal Reserve Bank. We examined old American banknotes and a lot of shredded money. We walked past Larimer Square, a trendy district with many cafes, restaurants, and nightclubs. We visited the Colorado State Capitol with its gold dome, strolled through the Civic Center Park, and discovered that Christmas spirit is already present in the opposite courthouse. Bears have been accompanying us on our journey for a while. Also here in Denver. Here, a 12-meter tall blue bear looks into the glass front of the Convention Center. We enjoyed the city, but also had some peace and delicious food. We even tried making French onion soup ourselves. Successful attempt. But one evening, we let ourselves be pampered very well in a great atmosphere.
