Today was our last day here in Sydney.... hey, it even rained for a while.....
My dream was actually to climb the Harbour Bridge with the boys. 'Climbing the Bridge...' I had googled it so many times in advance, but the price scared me off. $700 is just too much. Yesterday, I briefly considered it and then decided against it because of the money. Today, I was glad I didn't book...
So we went back into the city and had lunch at one of the food courts in Grosvenor Place, surrounded by all the suits and costumes, and I almost longed to have lunch in such an environment again.... like in the old days... but that feeling only lasted for a moment!!!!
A walk through the Botanical Garden to enjoy the tourist view of the Opera House, then to The Rocks - to my favorite artist Ken Done (I bought a T-shirt from him 24 years ago, I still wear it, but only at night) and finally a ride on the fast ferry (formerly JetCat) to Manly at dusk. Mika had wished for that. We were the only ones sitting outside wrapped in multiple jackets, enjoying the ride. I'm sure everyone laughed about the stupid tourists.
Daniel had wished for a dinner at the Opera House (sitting outside) with the amazing fire show, so we ended the day and Sydney there.
I'm quite sad, it was really beautiful.... Farewell to the most beautiful city in the world. I'm grateful to have been here! I swore to myself that it won't take another 24 years until we meet again. Maximum 2 years - at most!! I've already planned everything in my head - I just need to save money..... it's nothing compared to that..... 😂!!
Good night until tomorrow - from Alice Springs!!!
....and I heard you can climb the bridge in Brisbane too! ☺️
