Last night there was a pretty strong storm. But I was already inside, so I was warm.😀. I started reading a new book and I'm very grateful to have randomly found the book recommendation. It's about the indigenous people of the Kogi. They are exactly the ones we walked with. In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. So I have a real connection to it and it's highly interesting.
My hostess served another delicious breakfast and I set off at 8:00 this morning, well fueled. Last stage of this tour. Minus 1 degree, dry and hardly any wind. Occasionally a few rays of sunshine. Today was the longest stage. In the end, there was quite a lot of snow and when I reached the top and looked towards home, I was surprised how little snow was on this side. I've never noticed before that it can make such a difference here. When I arrived at the kiosk, I treated myself to a mulled wine and enjoyed the beautiful view for a moment. I could clearly see the skyline of Frankfurt and the Feldberg. Then to the accommodation. You could easily shoot a movie here in 70s style 😅. But the room is okay for this price. And the view overlooking the valley in the sunshine is once again a gift. Tomorrow morning I will take another walk before going to the women's breakfast.
I spent 7 days exploring the homeland and despite the slightly different weather than expected in March, I really enjoyed it. But I'm also looking forward to having a longer conversation again tomorrow. 😀
