Day 14 Cartagena - Palomino. Escape from the urban jungle.

Wɔatintim: 04.01.2023

This morning we left Cartagena. Luckily for me, Farina also thinks it's enough now. The old town is beautiful, it's also a tourist magnet. But I imagined it much worse with the crowd of people and begging. They offer creative entertainment 😅, for example, the reincarnation of Michael Jackson. Afterwards, the hat is passed around, which I think is fine. The bus ride today is about 300 km and takes 7 hours. In Colombia, you have to think in different dimensions.

We have now arrived in Palomino. It's a small town with about 4000 inhabitants. It reminds me a little bit of Cahuita in Costa Rica. Only the main street is paved. All other paths are dirt roads. There are no high-rise buildings and many smaller accommodations. When we arrived, we were very hungry. So off to the store to buy something. Today, for a change, we cooked ourselves. And what? 😄 I think everyone guesses correctly. Of course, spaghetti with vegetables. Cooking ourselves occasionally is fun, if the equipment is available. We haven't made it to the beach yet today.
