Visits and application visit

Today is Wednesday, March 9th, and it has been quite hot and humid for a few days. Today in 6 weeks we start our journey home, and we are very excited about it. Also, we are happy that we are traveling together and Martin will not be alone here for months. Our children and grandchildren are eagerly awaiting us and we are also looking forward to seeing them. We have never been away for so long. Now we are using the time for visits and are on the road almost every day. It is also exciting that two applicants are interested in the position. A pastor and his wife were here last weekend to introduce themselves and get to know the congregation. He led the church service, and afterwards there was a congregational meeting. We accompanied them a lot during these days and were open to all questions. Otherwise, the program they completed was quite full. The next pastor couple will arrive here the weekend after next. We are very excited. It is good that Martin is still here in the congregation during this phase and can accompany the process. However, there will be another vacancy period for the congregation. But knowing that there will be a really good candidate helps with that, too.
