Waiheke Island

Wɔatintim: 01.08.2019

Today we were following in Till's footsteps. We had received the assignment from our son himself, we were supposed to bring a special bottle of wine halfway around the world to his former boss.

Of course, we do such things, especially since the island is more than dreamy. Even in winter, maybe that's why the views are incredible!

So this morning we left Coromandel Town early (9:00 am) and took the ferry to Waiheke after about 2.5 hours. During the 50 minutes of sea travel and the remaining 40 minutes of gravel road, we enjoyed beautiful landscapes and views once again. Slowly, this becomes exhausting.

So enjoy the last day, far from it, Till's old boss is not there, but an old colleague of his is. Till must have left an impression, even after almost 4 years he is still well known.

Even in the tasting room, there are still good memories of him, one 'old comrade' was still there, and we were then able to wake him up at 6:15 am German time. Maybe not as great for him as it was for us😀😀.

We didn't want to spend the last night in the camper van, so we moved into a small cute apartment almost in the jungle, almost a treehouse.
