Stage 62: From Alanya to Adana

Wɔatintim: 12.02.2022

The next morning at breakfast, a young cat joined us and also wanted to explore our room afterwards. After a little petting, she had to leave again, as we still had about 400 kilometers to go to Adana.

On the way, we drove on quiet country roads (D400), sometimes through the mountains, sometimes along the coast. We passed huge banana plantations and greenhouses, and strawberries are also grown here. In Anamur, we bought a kilo of bananas (for 10 Lira), which we immediately enjoyed on the beach.

In the afternoon, we arrived in Tasucu. After a short beach workout, we had something to eat and freshly squeezed orange juice. From this coastal town, you can take a ferry to North Cyprus, but we had other plans. We continued along the D400, enjoying the evening traffic of Mersin and then Adana. Even the supermarkets were already closed when we finally had everything stored in the hotel. However, we managed to find something for dinner and a lot of fruit at bargain prices in a small shop along the road.
