Glacier and Yoho National Park

Wɔatintim: 30.07.2017

We headed towards the Rocky Mountains.

Our first stop was Glacier National Park.

We quickly found a campsite pitch.

Off we went into the mountains.

The visibility was unfortunately not good, as there was a large forest fire nearby.

However, the Illecillewaet Glacier was visible.

Resting by the campfire.

Since the visibility did not improve, we drove on to Yoho National Park after a few days. The visibility was good and everyone wanted to go to the campsite.

You have to line up before 8 a.m.

We continued on to Takakkaw Falls. There is a small campsite there just for tents with a view of the waterfall.

Transport from the parking lot to the campsite.

From here, you can take beautiful hikes.

On the hike to Yoho Lake, we had a nice view of the Takakkawa Falls again.

A little break at Hidden Lake.

Arriving at Yoho Lake.
Peace and a great view.

The next day, we went to Twin Falls.

In the evening around 11 p.m., a storm came in. After a lightning strike hit a tree about 300 meters from our tent, we had to leave the site.

We found another site and were glad to finally get some sleep.
The next few days, we continued towards Banff...
