For the further journey, we take over our camper in Christchurch. The city has changed after the earthquakes in 2011, and it is sad to see the losses or half-decayed buildings next to the new buildings. The tram for tourists operates as usual. New for us is the family playground where the whole family can really play.
The roads and the landscape to Mount Cook and back to the coast at Oamaru are characterized by sheep, cows, and deer. These are the wide areas and large fields that are known for New Zealand, making it unique and making one pause again and again. After the mountains, comes the beach and the penguins, Moraki Boulder and shells. We try to bring peace and relaxation to the family.
