Karina and I are already looking forward, 49 days before we start from BER, like 'Bolle' to our road trip through the west of the USA. 49 days, during which hopefully neither Corona, war nor whatever 'the guy up there' may come up with will get in the way.

And of course, we will have our cell phones on board. You want to take pictures, google more or less useful things, or just have something warm in your pants.
But??? A trip without a cell phone admittedly also has its charm. And who knows, maybe we will even do that someday. At the latest when Elon Musk has all the satellites under his control and suddenly decides that it would be cool to be happy without a net. Because 'without a net' does not mean 'useless'.

But even if it is not quite possible without a cell phone yet, we wish all of you a kind of 'middle ground': emergency communication!

This means that whether it is WhatsApp, phone calls, or whatever else is possible, direct contact should be limited to emergencies or unavoidable matters during the three and a half week trip. it would be cool to really immerse ourselves as deeply as possible for three and a half weeks.

Instead, we will keep a kind of small, more or less regular diary here and of course upload photos. So whoever wants to can, but nobody has to.
