Today, a trip to the north of the city was on the agenda, to Lynn Valley. This tip was given to us by Alexis, after we initially wanted to go to Capilano Suspension Bridge. But Alexis said that it would be crowded there and also cost money. Lynn Valley is a bit smaller, but it's free and not as crowded.
But first, we had to pick up our reserved rental car at Avis in Downtown. It would accompany us for the next 8 days. So we took the Sky Train back to the center and picked up the car on time. It was a black Hyundai Tucson automatic, which had enough space for everyone and was still easy to handle. Now we looked for the way to the Lions Gate Bridge to get to the north. Luckily, I had downloaded the Here navigation app shortly before the vacation, so we quickly found the way. Because the street signs in Canada are not very clear.
After about an hour, we arrived at Lynn Valley. There was a house with an overview map and an explanation of its origin. There was also a bistro. To get to the valley, we had to cross a suspension bridge, which was not very long and high, as we would see even more impressive ones later. Then we walked along a beautiful path to a lake and then back again. In between, we also came across a canyon where you could swim. But it also got crowded when we came back.
Then we drove back to Commercial Drive and went to Bier Craft to eat delicious burgers and fries.
