Tonight it started to rain... Doooooof. Unfortunately it was drizzling almost constantly. Dumb. Visibility: almost none. Dumb.
There was an old Victorian quarry along the way where serpentine, a type of rock, was mined and processed.
Shortly afterwards we were in Kennack Sands, where a nice beach café brightened the mood a little.
After a while we were in Downas Cove - the killer of today's stage. The climb was so narrow, steep, slippery, full of thorns, wet and everything...
Tina's hip was taken care of for the day and we walked inland to take a shortcut. The rain became heavier, the meadows wetter... We followed the "hiking trails" to Coverack via farms, cow pastures and electric fences.
There were also heated yurts at the youth hostel... something like that.
We look forward to experiencing Coverack tomorrow in better weather. Amen.
