Norway trip May 26th-June 17th, 2022 / June 13th

Today, we continue towards the Atlantic Road in light rain. The car ferry from Halsa to Kanestraumen takes about 20 minutes and shortens our driving time, as well as providing a nice change of scenery. The weather is not sunny, but we manage to take impressive photos of the journey. We also make a detour to the village of Bud, a charming little place by the Atlantic, which also offers a beautiful viewpoint. Next, we head to Molde, where Kurt tries his luck at fishing, before taking the car ferry from Molde to Furneset, which takes about 33 minutes. We enjoy a short drive with a wonderful evening atmosphere along Tresfjorden to our amazing tiny house, located right on the shore of Tresfjorden. The 'Sea Road,' as the Atlantic Road is often called, has been crowned the construction of the century in Norway for good reason. The most spectacular part of the Atlantic Road, which connects the coastal towns of Vevang and Karvag, measures an impressive 8,274 meters in length. This section was completed in 1989 and passes directly through the sea, crossing 8 bridges and countless islands and islets.
