Hello,
After sunset, the train that started in Ajmer in the afternoon arrived at Jaipur station. As always, it was moving at a slow pace, which is a good safety aspect considering the large number of people usually present on the platform. It is also advantageous if you intend to leave by train, as you always have the opportunity to find your correct carriage without any problems. But in my opinion, even if this is not the case, everything is perfectly described.
Jaipur, and for me, it means the last stop in Rajasthan. The city, at first glance, seems quite organized for Indian standards. This means that I don't see garbage lying around everywhere.
My first destination the next day was the 'Hawa Mahal', a building that has been on my wishlist for a long time. Now I was finally standing in front of the building, and I was truly amazed.
From there, I walked to the 'Surya Mandir', the Monkey Temple, which is around 3-4 km away. There were actually monkeys everywhere, but they were very relaxed and delighted with the nuts that were being distributed. They gently took the nuts from your hand without any rush. Since I was feeling good and able to walk that day, I walked directly back to the City Palace, which is located just behind the 'Hawa Mahal'. However, I decided not to pay the exorbitant entrance fee for foreigners here and instead continued walking through the beautiful Pink City towards the 'Albert Hall', which is around 3 km away. It is another interesting building. Finally, I made my way back to the guesthouse, passing by a really delicious lassi shop.
In the evening, I went for a walk again. I was hungry, so I treated myself to my first meat meal in a week, 'Malai Tikka Chicken'. It was super delicious!
The next morning, well-rested, I visited the beautiful 'Royal Gaitor'. Here, you are almost alone, and it is located on the quiet outskirts of the city. Above it, there is the 'Ganesh Mandir', which is difficult to reach due to a steep staircase, but it rewards you with a magnificent view of the city.
In the afternoon, I already left Jaipur and thus the beautiful state of Rajasthan, with my next destination being Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
Hello...
