After breakfast, we continued the journey today with the plan to drive 300 km. In Namibia, there are 4 types of road surfaces: sand, gravel, asphalt, and for the first time today, clay. Speed limit is 100 km/h on all types of surfaces, which is not a problem anymore. On gravel roads, you can usually drive faster, provided that the track is clear; otherwise, the visibility is limited by the dust and vehicles ahead.
More than 150 km of today's route were gravel, the rest was clay (very pleasant), and a small part was asphalt. The roads, especially the gravel tracks, are regularly maintained, which does not really lead to traffic disruptions.
Today, we crossed the Namib Desert towards the Atlantic coast to Swakopmund.
