Lazy days on Ko Lanta

Our resort was very beautiful. The pool was also great for our latest favorite game, 'Goalkeeper training'. The game involves throwing goals, similar to handball. There were also many friendly cats, which the kids enjoyed.

Since it rained most of the time, we spent the days reading and playing in the pool. Unfortunately, we couldn't go into the sea because the waves were too high. The beach was also not inviting, it was completely littered. That explains why we were completely alone on a kilometer-long beach. But that didn't matter because the kids always just want to be in the pool.

The only excitement we had during those days was when I almost got hit by a coconut. I was about to leave the pool when a coconut crashed on the ground in front of me. But that shouldn't surprise me on Ko Lanta: 15 years ago, a monkey almost fell on my head after missing a branch.

After we recovered from the shock, we wanted to eat something. We were just leaving our resort when we came face to face with an adult monitor lizard. It was just as startled as we were and disappeared instantly.

Since then, we have been looking up and down alternately.
