8.11.18 Mandawa - Chochin

Today morning we had to wake up early. Ramesh wants to leave at 7 o'clock because we have our flight to Kochi in the south at 16.55 and the travel time is 6 hours. So we are at the dining hall at exactly 6.30 to have breakfast. The journey at the beginning was like an off-road tour on very bumpy roads through poor, agriculture-dominated land. Around half past twelve we arrive at the airport in Delhi. A bit early for our taste. But now it's time to say goodbye to Ramesh, he really took care of us well in the last few days, our surprise is very big when he says goodbye to us that this was his first tour ever!!!

When checking in, we treated ourselves to a little luxury, for 70 dollars we got an upgrade to business class.

But first we had to survive the waiting time, after a little visit to the west, McDonald's, we discovered super comfortable loungers at our gate. So time flew by and soon it was time to check in. With lots of space, great service, delicious food and tasty chai tea, we enjoyed the three-hour flight.

Arriving in Kochi, we noticed two differences:

1. It is warmer and noticeably more humid here
2. The traffic is almost boringly regulated. Steven is our new driver and took us to the Brunton Boatyard. Today was a long travel day. We end the day with a tea on the hotel balcony by the sea...
