My upcoming Yin Yoga teacher training is now taking me to Rishikesh for the first time, the yoga city in northern India on the holy Ganges. It's quite a temperature drop for me compared to the south. I'm glad I brought my winter jacket and hot water bottle. :)
The impressions here are even more intense than in Goa, and the whole atmosphere, along with the people, is a bit more hectic and rough.
Yesterday, I sat with a lassi on the terrace of a small café on the Ganges and observed the ceremonies of the people on the Ganges.
On the way back, passing through the colorful markets, street vendors, sadhus, and cows.
This morning, I managed to make it to the yoga class at 7 am in the ashram right next to my accommodation. A beginner's hatha yoga class with very helpful alignment from Sajin (or whatever his name was;)).
Today, I'll probably go to the markets again because I still need some warmer clothes for the cold nights.

My second full day in Rishikesh was quite exciting. In the afternoon, I walked up the hill to the Tulsi Restaurant, a small restaurant in peaceful nature, where I actually wanted to do some work. Instead, I ended up having a conversation with Arvind, who spontaneously helped me with my Hindi notebook.
